Karuna Erickson

Karuna Erickson is a devoted yoga teacher and psychotherapist, practicing in both fields since 1970. She is the director of the Heart Yoga Center, a registered Yoga Alliance teacher training school, and has trained yoga teachers for over 20 years. Karuna teaches internationally, leading retreats in Costa Rica, Canada, and Bali, while weaving Sufi poetry and Buddhist practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness into her classes. She has collaborated with renowned teachers like Rodney Yee and Andrew Harvey, co-authoring the book On Fire: Heart Yoga. Drawing on her psychotherapy background, her compassionate and heartfelt teaching helps students integrate body, mind, heart, and spirit, inspired by her 35-year life in the mountains of British Columbia.
